Hello, my name is Imad Meguellati and I am a street photographer !

I have lived almost all my life in Algeria, but I have traveled quite a lot since my childhood. I always thought that it was more beautiful elsewhere, the wonder necessarily being on the other side of the Mediterranean, however, with time, I have come to realize that it is not true. Algeria is my home.

I have been fortunate to travel and see the beauty of a good part of this immense territory of Africa: the capital with its bay, Casbah, streets and alleys; the big cities, each of them with their own charm; the crystal-clear water beaches and imposing mountains; the south with its infinite and magical desert… and yet there is still so much to discover. I have been able to take part of the diversity of our culture and our breathtaking landscapes as well as experience the kindness and hospitality of our people.

Curious by nature, I do not hesitate to reach out to and connect with people, often opening the way to extraordinary discoveries, unique situations and stories. Beautiful energies and good vibes are always there in these spontaneous moments.

Photography has always been a refuge for me and something that I am passionate about. For me it is an art form that allows me to tell stories in ways that words can’t fully express. Photography has an incredible power of capturing the moment, evoking emotions, encouraging empathy, generating curiosity and creating a lasting connection with the viewer. Photography is simply magic…
